Ministries

Christian Education Ministry provides vital Christian education programs for all ages. Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Confirmation, Adult Forum and Scholar-in-Residence programs help all ages Build a Living Faith.

Community Action encourages members to put their faith into action and become involved in our local community, interacting with agencies and organizations helping those in need. Supports members who have a personal ministry interest or commitment. Sponsors ministry events and efforts to introduce opportunities for community involvement.

Eco-Ministry is charged with overseeing the church recycling program, finding ways to inform and educate Reformation members on ecology issues, and publicizing opportunities to serve our community with cleanup and conservation projects. Our monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month.

Evangelism Ministry is at the heart of our efforts to Invite All People as we advertise in local papers, deliver cookies to our visitors, provide new member classes, lay ministry opportunities and a welcoming climate.

Finance Ministry helps our congregation in its own financial stewardship, monitoring our income and expenses, overseeing investments and encouraging good fund management.

Global Mission Ministry makes sure our concern is for ALL people, as we support missionaries, learn about the Church around the world and develop partnerships with Christians in other lands.

Property Ministry assures that our physical plant and grounds are well-maintained. In addition to overseeing weekly cleaning, they evaluate the need for major repairs and capital projects.

Rejoicing Spirits is a groundbreaking, successful ministry which reaches out to enrich the spiritual lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, friends and other supportive community members. This is done through an inclusive, adapted worship and fellowship time which delivers God’s message of love. The foundation of the ministry is rooted in 1 Corinthians 12:25, “So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.”
Reformation’s Rejoicing Spirits services will be held the second Sunday of each month, including summer months, starting in October 2007. Find out more about this innovative service model on the national Rejoicing Spirits website, www.rejoicingspirits.org.

Social Ministry is committed to Serving our Neighbor. It coordinates the cooking of meals for Aid For Friends, prepares food baskets on holidays, helps with Chester City Team Ministry and encourages community outreach.

Stewardship Ministry encourages members to acknowledge that all we have is a gift from God, and to manage our time, talents and money in such a way that a portion is returned to God and that balance is maintained in our lives.

Worship and Music Ministry oversees our worship celebrations and the vital music program at Reformation. Children's and adult choirs, altar guild, ushers, acolytes, lectors and liturgists are among our worship support teams.

Youth Ministry maintains our commitment to strong ministry with and for our youth. Junior and Senior High activities along with pre-teen events are scheduled throughout the year. National Youth Gatherings, work camps and retreats add a special dimension to this ministry.
